Agencies participating in the Water Sustainability through Nanotechnology Interest Group (water nanotechnologies community of interest), have a variety of interests in the development of water technologies to meet their mission goals, from supplying potable water to U.S. troops to developing wastewater treatment technologies to remediating contaminated sites. SBIR/STTR programs provide an important mechanism for agencies to fund R&D with commercialization potential. This web page is designed to help water (nano)technology developers locate SBIR and/or STTR funding opportunities across Federal agencies. For more information, please visit the agency SBIR websites below.
Some agencies allow Phase II application submissions from Phase I projects that were funded by a different agency, if the Phase I project is within the scope of the Phase II agency’s goals. Grants.gov provides additional information on federal funding opportunities as well as the federal grants lifecycle, policies on grants management, and profiles on grant-making agencies. A calendar with the most current solicitation cycles of participating agencies is available at Sbir.gov/solicitations.
