The wonder of nanoscience and unique nanoscale phenomena can provide the spark to inspire students’ deeper interest in STEM topics and career paths. Nanotechnology’s potential to provide solutions to pressing societal needs can also be used to attract students motivated to make a difference in their communities. To further catalyze students’ interest in nanotechnology and STEM, and to help build a robust domestic workforce, the National Nanotechnology Coordination Office (NNCO), the NNI agencies, and the broader nanotechnology community have developed a variety of formal and informal educational resources (available on the left) for students, teachers, and the broader nanotechnology workforce.
