NNI Representatives to Participate in Keynote Panel and Sponsor Booth at TechConnect Nanotech 2016

(May 16, 2016) Representatives from the National Nanotechnology Initiative (NNI) will open the TechConnect Nanotech 2016 Conference and Expo as keynote panelists, focusing on the future of nanotechnology and “NNI 2.0.” The panel, which takes place Monday, May 22 at 8:40 a.m., will feature:

  • Lloyd Whitman, Assistant Director for Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials, White House Office of Science and Technology Policy
  • Mike Meador, Director, National Nanotechnology Coordination Office
  • Piotr Grodzinski, Program Director, Nanotechnology In Cancer, National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health
  • Harriet Kung, Director, Office of Basic Energy Services, Office of Science, Department of Energy
  • Lewis Sloter, Assistant Director, Materials and Structures, Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Research and Engineering, Department of Defense

TechConnect’s Nanotech program features a number of sessions and panels featuring representatives from various NNI agencies. This year for the first time, TechConnect will also host the Student Leaders Conference to bring together undergraduate nano and emerging technologies student group representatives from across the country to share best practices and network with like-minded group leaders.

Attendees are also encouraged to stop by the NNI booth to learn more about current NNI activities. You can find the NNI booth on the Expo floor at #514. TechConnect Nanotech 2016 takes place May 22-25 at the Gaylord Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland.
